Efficient, Comprehensive Disinfection for Your Facility

Maintaining a clean environment free from transmissible diseases like SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19), influenza, and RSV has never been more top-of-mind for business owners and occupants.
Manually disinfecting surfaces isn’t always enough to prevent the transmission of airborne diseases. Electrostatic sprayers and misting devices (also known as foggers) are immensely more effective and time-saving than applying disinfectant for coronavirus by hand. The Budd Group uses fogging devices and cordless Victory electrostatic sprayers in office buildings, industrial plants, commercial properties, and more to keep them safe and sanitary.
With spray devices, all surfaces (including hard-to-reach surfaces) are covered and stay covered long enough to kill all germs on targeted surfaces and in the air. It’s not just the surfaces getting cleaned. As droplets from a cough or sneeze wait around for their next host, using an electrostatic sprayer can kill them mid-air or on the surfaces upon which they fall. Only special technology can combat airborne germs to prevent disease transmission (using a sprayer also uses 75% fewer chemicals, which is much better for the environment).

Misting/Fogging vs. Electrostatic Spray Disinfection

Misting and electrostatic spray devices are similar but feature key differences in functionality and results.
Misting/fogging devices passively send droplets of disinfectant to an area to eliminate germs — this results in a wet surface that requires a dwell time of 30-40 minutes.
Electrostatic spraying devices charge the disinfectant particles so they cling to surfaces, resulting in a drier surface and shorter dwell time (1-5 minutes). As a result, electrostatic spray devices are more cost-effective, efficient, and effective at killing germs than fogging devices.

Keep Your Facility Open and Sanitary

Especially now, it’s vital that we take commercial disinfection seriously. The spread of disease throughout a facility can greatly diminish the well-being of occupants and result in major losses of productivity for extended periods. By looking at the effectiveness of the spray in famous governmental, aviation, healthcare, and other facilities, it’s clear that electrostatic sprayers are an effective and efficient way to go.
The Budd Group is here to help you do your best to avoid office shutdowns and employee illness. In addition to our misting and electrostatic spray solutions, our disinfection solutions also include antimicrobial barrier technology, remediation disinfection and cleaning, deep disinfection, and coronavirus disinfection. Frequently Asked Questions about Misting and Electrostatic Spray Disinfection Services

Fogging and electrostatic spray disinfection both deliver a spray of disinfectant to a given area. That said, fogging devices do not charge these droplets, meaning they don’t cling closely to surfaces as electrostatic spray solutions — electrostatic spray disinfection is quicker, more effective, and more sustainable than fogging.

Spray disinfection devices are designed to eliminate germs that are already in the vicinity or that appear shortly after application. If your facility is regularly exposed to airborne pathogens, it will benefit from routine misting or electrostatic spraying.

The disinfected area must be completely dry before it is deemed safe for use. It may take at least 1-2 hours before people can return to the space — because fogging devices create more moisture than electrostatic spray devices, this time might be extended.
