The Budd Group was found­ed by Richard Budd in 1963, when he pur­chased a strug­gling jan­i­to­r­i­al sup­ply busi­ness and estab­lished the foun­da­tion for our orga­ni­za­tion to grow into a dynam­ic region­al facil­i­ty ser­vice cor­po­ra­tion. Today, The Budd Group employs over 4,000 ser­vice pro­fes­sion­als and offers a broad range of facil­i­ty solu­tions for cor­po­rate cus­tomers through­out the Southeast.
Our core strength is our diverse com­mu­ni­ty of pro­fes­sion­als who man­age and deliv­er our ser­vices 24 hours a day, sev­en days a week. Joe Budd

Executive Chairman

Location: Winston-Salem, NC

Joe has worked full-time with The Budd Group since 1985 when he received an MBA from Wake Forest University. He graduated from High Point University with a degree in business in 1983. His Budd Group history began early, with teenage summers spent working in all divisions of the family business.
Joe’s hobbies include shooting, fishing, flying, and spending time with his family. He is a commercially rated pilot and flies his own airplane for business and pleasure.
Joe also spends considerable time in community service. His past roles include: Chairman of Winston-Salem Business, Inc., President of the Winston-Salem Rotary Club, Reynolda House Museum of American Art Board, Montreat College Board of Trustees, Dean Prim Scholarship Committee, Forsyth Airport Commission, Salvation Army, American Heart Association, Mission Emanuel, Northwest N.C. Food Bank, and was a Governor appointee to the NC Wildlife Resources Commission for 6 1/2 years.
Currently, Joe serves as Chairman of Corporate Aircraft Association, is an advisory member of The Cannon Foundation, and is a board member of the Glade Valley Scholarship Foundation, Whitaker Park Development Authority, and Piedmont Triad Partnership. Joe was recently reappointed to the NC Wildlife Resources Commission for a two-year term.

Yasser Youssef

Yasser Youssef is the President and CEO of The Budd Group, a leading facilities services company in the United States. With a background in business services and a strong focus on leadership development, Yasser has been instrumental in expanding The Budd Group’s services and market presence. Under his leadership, the company has grown significantly, focusing on customer satisfaction, employee engagement, and innovation in service delivery. Youssef is known for his emphasis on servant leadership, fostering a culture of integrity, and supporting community initiatives. He has served on the board of the Building Service Contractors Association International (BSCAI) since 2010 and was President in 2014. Yasser also serves on the board of the National Service Alliance (NSA), is on the Board of Trustees at Montreat College as well as the board of the Winston-Salem based Love out Loud. He holds a degree in Psychology for the University of North Carolina – Charlotte and has been recognized for his contributions to the industry and his community involvement.

Chief Financial Officer

Location: Winston-Salem, NC

Sarah Budd is the Chief Financial Officer at The Budd Group. Sarah earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Furman University in 2013 and a Master’s in Accounting from Wake Forest University in 2014. Prior to joining The Budd Group, she gained valuable experience in public accounting at Grant Thornton.
In her role as CFO, Sarah is responsible for overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, ensuring that The Budd Group remains on a path of sustained growth and operational efficiency. Her analytical skills and strategic insight are instrumental in shaping the company’s financial direction and achieving its long-term objectives.
